Leadership and Class Officer Meetings -- Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen.  Leadership is looking for some strong, responsible, energetic, organized individuals to join Student Leadership and help plan events at GUHS.  Meetings are held in W-24 every Monday after school.  See Ms. Nuno in W-24 or Ms. Villanueva in W-25 for more information.

Back to School Night -- Back to School Night is right around the corner.  It will be held on Thursday, September 2nd from 6 to 8 PM.  Bring your parents back to campus and show them how Pacers shine in and outside of the classroom.

PACER SENIORS!Do you want to have your voice heard when we plan for our Senior Ball & Senior Trip?  Do you want to help raise money so we can have the BOMB of a Ball & Trip?  Then show up in W20 at 3:00 EVERY Monday to get the game goin'!  We can't do it without many hands!  Come have fun and fellowship to make this be THE BEST Senior Class EVER!!  Contact Ms. Wheeler in D8 or Mr. Wadman in W20 for the 411!

Stomp Crew -- THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th, 2010 , THE LOCATION IS  ON THE WEST CAMPUS IN ROOM  108 , BEHIND THE WEST GYM  WITH MR.AUGUSTINE, THE STOMP CREW ADVISOR THANKS SEE YOU THERE.

Pacers for Peace:  WOW!!!! What a great turnout for the first meeting of the Year.  75 students, over 50 of them were not part of us last year.  We have to find a new location of our general meetings - it will be announced before the end of this week - stay tuned.  Reminder: The Pacers for Peace Leo Club cabinet will meet in room t-8 at 2:45 sharp. Please be on time. We have a lot to discuss.

Yearbook -- Yearbook Special! On Back To School Night, Yearbooks will be sold for the best deal of the year: $60 with free name stamping! Sales are cash only. Go to room B-8 and B-10 from 6-8 on Thursday night. Price for the book will be $70 with $5 name stamping on Sept. 3rd through February.

Black College Fair -- UCAN presents the 11th Annual Historically Black College Recruitment Fair. On the spot admissions and scholarships will be available. If you are interested in attending this event, you must sign up in the Counseling Office and pick up a permission to attend form. Permission slips are due by Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.0 to attend. Transportation will be provided by the district. For more information see Mrs. Washington-Johnson in the Counseling Office.
