Department Chair: Silvia Moran

This department serves the nearly 1/3 of Grant Union High School's student body who are learning English as a second language.  The phenomenal staff of the EL Department assist students and their families through sheltered classes for student with limited English proficiency, support staff for students who've used their newly gained language skills to venture into un-sheltered classes, and through ELAC meetings to bring parents and school staff together to provide the best educational opportunites for students.
